  United Kingdom Graduation Route After Study

  In Late 2019, the British Government had updated their policies regarding international students being allowed to stay in the country after studies. It was noted that, with the new policies in hand foreign nationals will be allowed to remain in the United Kingdom for 2 years after the completion of their education. This has enabled international students to consider a new immigration route whilst studying in the UK.

  CONDITIONS

  • Graduation Immigration Route will only be available to international students who have graduated from their bachelors levels or higher level degree from a Higher Education Provider and also hold a valid Tier 4 visa at the time of application
  • Successful applicants of this route will be allowed to stay and look for work in the United Kingdom at any skill level or company for a maximum of 2 years. Therein, Graduates will be able to gain skilled work after graduation which will make it appropriate for students to gain a job.
  • The new policy regarding this route will be launched in the summer of 2021, which points towards the route eligibility of graduates in summer of 2021 as well. This also includes all the students who start their 2020/2021 academic year in the United Kingdom.
  • This new Immigration route demonstrates that the British Government is fully supportive of the education sector and has set ambitions to increase the education exports along with increasing the annual intake by 600,0000 by 2030.
  • Each Graduate student will have to fill in a specific application with valid documents for this immigration route.
  • This application will include the payment of a new visa fee and Immigration Health, which will be mentioned in the application.
  • In case, International Students whose Tier 4 visa expires before the launch of this route will not be eligible for its application. Hence these students will not benefit from the new immigration route for International Students.

   

  Summary

  Students commencing their 2020/2021 academic sessions will be eligible for this Immigration Route, along with Graduates who have a valid Tier 4 visa after completion of students in the summer of 2021. This Immigration Route will allow students to find work or work in the United kingdom with a maximum of 2 years. Students of both Undergraduates levels or Higher level degrees will be eligible.
